scp, or any other external tool. It’s the fastest way to make quick file changes without opening a terminal.
Opening the file manager

Log in to the panel
Go to opus-host.de/login and sign in to your account.

Click your VPS
From the dashboard, select the VPS whose files you want to manage.

Click the File Manager tab
Select File Manager from the left sidebar. The file browser will load, starting in your home directory (
/root for most VPS configurations).Navigating files
The file manager presents your VPS filesystem in a familiar folder-and-file layout:- Click a folder to open it and see its contents.
- Breadcrumb navigation at the top of the panel shows your current path (e.g.
/ › var › www › html) — click any segment to jump back to that level. - Path bar displays the full absolute path of the directory you’re currently viewing, and you can type a path directly into it to jump there instantly.
- Refresh button reloads the current directory listing to reflect any changes made via the console or SSH.
Uploading files

Navigate to the target directory
Use the folder browser to open the directory where you want the files to land.

Click Upload
Click the Upload button in the toolbar at the top of the file manager.

Select your files
Choose one or more files from your local computer using the file picker that appears. You can select multiple files at once.

Wait for the upload to complete
A progress bar will appear for each file being uploaded. Once all progress bars reach 100%, your files are available on the server.
Editing a file

Click a text file
Click any editable text file — such as a
.txt, .conf, .html, .css, .js, or .py file — to open it in the inline editor.2

The file’s contents appear in a code editor embedded in the panel, with syntax highlighting for common file types.

Make your changes
Edit the file contents directly. You can use standard keyboard shortcuts like
Ctrl+Z to undo.4
Click Save
Click the Save button to write your changes to the server. The file is updated immediately.
Other actions
Right-clicking a file or folder — or selecting it and using the action toolbar — gives you access to the following operations:- Delete — permanently removes the selected file or folder and all of its contents.
- Rename — change the name of a file or folder in place.
- Create new folder — creates an empty directory inside the current location.
- Create new file — creates a blank file that you can immediately open and edit.
- Download — downloads the selected file directly to your local computer.
