You can request full deletion of your Opus Host account and everything associated with it at any time. When we process the request, everything gets deleted — no retention window, no shadow copies, no backups sitting on a shelf.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and login credentials.
  • Every VPS on the account, including disk contents.
  • Any backups or snapshots you had.
  • Support ticket history tied to the account.
Deletion is permanent and immediate. Once we process the request, there is no way for us (or anyone) to recover your data. Take copies of anything you want to keep before you ask.

Before you request deletion

Back up anything you want to keep

Copy files off your VPS with scp, rsync, or the File Manager. Export databases with mysqldump or pg_dump. Once we delete the account, none of this is recoverable.

Move DNS off your VPS IP

If you have a domain pointing at your VPS (Custom Domain), update your DNS to point somewhere else before deletion so visitors do not hit a dead IP.

Cancel anything hooked into your VPS

Webhooks, cron jobs on other services, bots — anything that expects your VPS to be there should be turned off or repointed.

How to request deletion

Use either channel below. Both reach the same team.

Panel Support Ticket

Open a ticket from the control panel. Recommended, because it confirms you own the account.

Discord

DM us on discord.gg/opushost. We may still ask you to confirm from the panel to verify ownership.

What to include in your request

  • The email address on your Opus Host account.
  • Confirmation that you understand deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
  • (Optional) A quick reason, if you feel like sharing. It helps us improve.

We verify ownership

We confirm the request is coming from the account holder. Requests from the panel are self-verifying; Discord requests may need an extra confirmation.

We delete everything

Your account, VPS instances, disks, backups, and ticket history are removed.

We confirm

You get a final confirmation that the deletion is complete.

Just want to delete one VPS?

If you only want to get rid of a single VPS but keep your account, you do not need to open a deletion ticket. You can drop the VPS from your dashboard or simply not renew it — see Renewal for what happens when a VPS expires.
Not sure yet? A full reinstall wipes the disk clean without deleting the account, which is often what people actually want when they say “delete everything”.
